Welcome! I'm Meg, and I'm so glad you're here.

Meg playing ukulele

I'm the founder of Uke and Me: Stories and Songs with Meg, and I love nothing more than sharing a good book, moving, and engaging in music. There's something magical about the way a good story, a catchy tune, or an intentional movement break can bring a group of children together. Reading and making music are joyful, meaningful ways to connect — with ourselves and with each other!

I have a background in Early Childhood Education and spent many years as a preschool teacher. Storytime and music were always the heart of my day. Whether we were singing a favorite song, acting out a story, or dancing around the classroom, those moments of connection and creativity are such important moments.

While working with children is at the heart of Uke and Me, I also enjoy bringing my ukulele to gatherings for all ages. I offer relaxed, acoustic-style sessions for parties, family events, and community celebrations. A ukulele is perfect for creating a warm, easygoing atmosphere with familiar songs or gentle background music.

I live in Salem, Massachusetts, and enthusiastically share Uke and Me with families, community spaces, and events throughout the North Shore. I can't wait to sing, read, and make music with you!
